The Ghostwriting Process: From Concept to Completed Manuscript

1. Discovery & Alignment

Every project begins with a consultation to ensure our visions align. This is to ensure I capture your vision and voice, not just the story you want to tell. We will also discuss the core of your project - your target audience, and the intellectual or emotional impact you want to leave behind.

  • Outcome: A clear "Project Charter" and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

2. Structural Architecture

Drawing on my background in creative theory and narrative structure, I develop a comprehensive blueprint for the work. This stage involves mapping out the narrative or intellectual arc, ensuring the foundation is both compelling for the reader and theoretically sound.

  • Outcome: A detailed Chapter-by-Chapter Outline.

3. Collaborative Drafting

Writing unfolds in iterative phases. This is beneficial for the ghostwriting process, as it allows you to consider the voice and pacing of each draft, ensuring the prose remains authentically yours, while I handle the heavy lifting of the research and continual writing.

  • Outcome: Rolling delivery of the primary manuscript.

4. Developmental Polish

The process concludes with a rigorous developmental edit. As a PhD-level editor, I refine the nuances of tone and structure, ensuring the manuscript meets the highest professional publishing standards - whether you are aiming for a traditional house or a prestigious independent release.

  • Outcome: A submission-ready manuscript.

Investment & Timeline

Ghostwriting is an intensive, multi-month partnership. Because each project requires a bespoke level of research, interviewing, and structural development, I work on a fixed-fee basis per project rather than hourly rates, with fees dependent on the size of the project. This ensures cost certainty for you and a commitment to quality for me.

Payment is structured in milestones (Deposit, Outline, Mid-point, and Completion).
